This week we’re celebrating the further return of a sense of normality (despite the ‘rule of six’ announcement), with the familiar sights of Great British Bake Off returning to our screens and the comforting return of Stylist magazine into our hands.

Team Siren are BIG fans of Bake Off and this long-awaited announcement could not have come at a better time. The sense of warmth and comfort that the show provides is just what we all need in a year that feels like we’ve been beaten, battered and whipped to no end. A constant topic in our pre-pandemic office discussions, the show gives us something new to discuss on our daily Zoom calls. On your marks, get set, bake.
Our favourite photography awards have just unveiled their finalists for this year. Now in its sixth year, the contest, aimed at boosting wildlife conservation efforts, celebrates images of animals in hilarious situations. A little laugh can go a long way in making us feel better so this year’s selection of finalists has come at the perfect time to send us into the weekend with a much-needed boost of endorphins.
With the sad loss of several print titles, the return of our favourite Tube pick-me-up, Stylist, is very welcome news. From 23 September, Stylist will return to the streets of London. And in even more exciting news, you can now get the magazine delivered straight to your door so those of us working from home don’t have to miss out. Sign us up!
A double Deliveroo good news week
Meals on wheels: This week, a burger company in Manchester partnered with Deliveroo to launch the first delivery service in the world to drop off meals on roller skates. This sounds like so much fun it’s almost got us signing up to be delivery riders!
Nando’s partners with Deliveroo: The partnership means that the number of the peri peri chicken brand’s restaurants offering delivery services will double across the UK and Ireland. Deliveroo’s ordering technology will also be completely integrated into Nando’s own website, a first for the platform, which we think is pretty cool and a big development for food delivery services.
