Wellbeing Influencers we have our eye on this Wellbeing Week

June 30, 2021

Well-being week is upon us and there has never been a better time to celebrate healthy wellness in all its forms; mental, physical, emotional.

Over the last few years social media platforms have become inundated with wellness trends, ambassadors and influencers. Working with such individuals and choosing the right ones that align with the brand has become a critical piece of content marketing strategies. When done right, these collaborations give brands authentic, wellness focused content that can truly benefit them and its followers.

Some of those individuals spreading joy and wellness positivity share useful tips on how to take care of your wellbeing, others offer amusing content to help brighten their followers mood and some share their own personal stories of struggle and recovery to let others know they aren’t alone in their journey to health and wellbeing.

To celebrate this year’s World WellBeing Week, team Siren have collated their favourite Instagram individuals that help boost up our moods and remind us to celebrate and practise self-love.

@Scarcurtis

This 25-year-old Gen-Z English writer, activist, and journalist is as real as they come. Don’t expect just a series of motivation, easy to read quotes - expect to hear personal and raw stories about Scarlett’s own physical and mental health experiences. She regularly opens up and talks about her previous childhood struggles with a spine operation for scoliosis that left her with chronic back pain and also her anxiety and depression led mental health issues.

Curtis talks about these issues openly, normalising that it’s ok to be open and honest about our emotions. The pink-haired gal is also the author of It's Not OK to Feel Blue (and Other Lies) and Feminists Don't Wear Pink (and Other Lies). She often features her favourite eco-based products that help her with her mood and ways to enjoy nature such as winter swimming which can help boost your mood!

Boom, boom, boom! This gal is a Siren favourite thanks to her dedication to promoting body positivity through promoting healthy fitness for a healthier mindset, soul and physical state.

Based in New York, this influencer creates content that will immediately want you to get up off the couch and move. She gets the adrenaline pumping, the endorphins running and will make you run out onto the street in a very Phoebe from F.R.I.E.N.D.S-esque type.

Chancha Tach takes her fitness all around New York as she motivates her followers around the globe so be prepared for some serious fitness and travel inspiration.

@dralexgeorge

He may have started his journey in the influencer world on Love Island, Dr Alex George has gone back to his roots of working as an A&E emergency doctor whilst also using his new-found fame to become a real advocate and champion for mental health. So much so, that he was recently appointed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson as the youth mental health ambassador for the government.

His Instagram account is filter free and features snaps of him hard at work with his colleagues of nurses and Doctors at A&E, coverage of his daily, very unglamorous but equally fabulous mental health focused daily walking ‘stomps’ and simple everyday tips on looking after your own your family and friends’ mental health.

George’s focus and role within the government will focus on children and young people's mental health and we can’t wait to follow his honest, exciting and ground-breaking journey.

@eatlovemove

Physical health goes beyond a good exercise regime and often, issues beyond this do not get enough attention and exposure that they need on social media. But thankfully, there are numerous individuals making it their mission to highlight just this.

Eat Love Move – aka Le'Nise Brothers uses her platform to educate her followers on many physically related health topics including the menstrual cycle, the digestive system and the immune system; topics that for many women need to be discussed in an open, safe and personable manner. Her simple diagrams, videos and breakdowns make the information easy to absorb and intrigue her followers to want to find out more to become educated and in control of their own physical health.

We would love to hear which social media, wellness influencers you love and follow! Drop us an email or slide into our DM’s and let’s talk wellness!
